360° virtual tour cost in India priced per viewpoint or per property

How photographed and rendered 360° tours are charged in India, without a rate card. The unit, the hosting question, and what a quotation should list.

Guide

A 360° virtual tour is priced by the viewpoint, each spot where the visitor stands and looks around. Photographed tours are quoted per viewpoint or per property. Rendered tours are quoted per viewpoint, on top of the 3D model. We publish no rate card.

The price depends on the brief, so a quote follows a short one: the kind of space, its size, and whether it is built yet. There are two kinds of tour and they are costed differently. A photographed tour is shot with a 360° camera in a finished space. A rendered tour is made in 3D for a space that does not exist yet. This guide explains the unit for each, what moves the price, and what to check in a quotation.

In short

  • 01

    The unit is the viewpoint

A viewpoint is one spot in the tour where the visitor can look all the way round. The number of viewpoints is the main driver of the price.

  • 02

    Photographed: per viewpoint or property

The charge covers the visit, the capture, stitching, retouching and linking the viewpoints into a tour.

  • 03

Rendered: the 3D model comes first

The space is built in 3D, then each viewpoint is rendered. If renders of the same rooms exist, the model is already made.

  • 04

    Hosting is its own line

A tour has to be kept online somewhere. Ask who hosts it, for how long, and whether the charge is one-time or recurring.

  • 05

    Matterport publishes its own plans

Matterport is another company's product. Check its current plans on its own website before comparing it with a quote.

The unit: what a viewpoint is

A viewpoint is a single position in the tour. The visitor stands there, looks in every direction, and clicks the floor to move to the next one. A tour is a set of linked viewpoints. You can open the live tours on our home page to see how they connect.

A space needs at least one viewpoint in every room. Large rooms, passages and outdoor areas need more, so that each move forward feels like a step and the visitor does not get lost. A studio flat needs few. A hotel with rooms, a lobby, a restaurant and a pool needs many. The count is the first thing to settle, because it sets the size of the job.

How a photographed tour is priced

A photographed tour is quoted per viewpoint, or as one price per property for a flat or house of a usual size. We shoot with an Insta360 camera. The charge covers the visit to the site, the capture at each viewpoint, stitching and colour correction, removing the tripod from the image, and linking the viewpoints into a tour that opens in a browser.

The price moves with the number of viewpoints, the travel to the site, and how much retouching the space needs. Mirrors and glass take longer, because the camera shows in them. A space that is not ready on the shoot day means a second visit. See 360° tours for real estate.

How a rendered tour is priced

A rendered tour is for a flat, villa or hotel that is not built yet. It has two cost items. The first is the 3D model of the space, the same model used for still renders. The second is a 360° render at each viewpoint.

A still image shows only what the camera faces. A 360° image shows the whole room, so the room has to be finished on every side, including the wall behind the camera. This makes a viewpoint more work than a still of the same room. If you have already ordered renders of those rooms, the model exists and the tour adds only the viewpoints. See rendered virtual tours.

Matterport and other tour platforms

Matterport is another company's product: a system for scanning a finished space, with a platform that hosts the result. It publishes its own plans. We do not quote its prices here. Check its website for the current plans in your market.

If someone quotes you a Matterport tour, ask for two lines: their fee for the scan, and the platform plan that keeps the tour online. Ask every platform the same thing: what is paid once, and what is paid for as long as the tour stays live. Our Matterport alternative page compares the approaches.

What raises a tour quote, and what lowers it

Virtual tour cost moves with a short list of factors. Most can be settled before the shoot or the modelling starts.

FactorWhy it mattersHow to keep it down
Number of viewpointsEach one is captured or rendered, finished and linkedMark them on the floor plan and remove any that repeat a view
A space that is not readyClutter and lights that do not work are retouched, or the shoot is repeatedClean, style and light the space before the shoot day
Mirrors, glass and screensThe camera and tripod are removed from each reflectionTell us about them in the brief, so the viewpoints are placed well
TravelA site outside the city adds travel to the visitShoot every unit in the building on one visit
No 3D model, for rendered toursThe rooms are built before any viewpoint is renderedOrder the tour with the still renders, so the model is built once
ExtrasFloor plans, room labels, information points and branding are each set upAsk for the extras buyers will use
HostingA recurring charge adds up over the life of the tourAsk for the hosting terms in writing before you accept

What a tour quotation should list

To compare two tour quotes, reduce each to three things: the number of viewpoints, what is done to each image, and the hosting terms. A low price per property with few viewpoints and a recurring hosting charge can cost more over time than a higher one-time price.

These are the lines to look for.

  • The number of viewpoints, and the rooms they cover
  • Photographed or rendered, and for a rendered tour whether the 3D model is included
  • Retouching: tripod removal, mirrors, colour correction
  • Extras: floor plan, room labels, information points, your logo
  • Hosting: where the tour is kept, for how long, one-time or recurring
  • Delivery: how it embeds in your website, and that it opens on a phone
  • Revision rounds, the schedule, and what the schedule depends on
  • What is excluded, such as travel or a second visit, and where the tour may be used

Questions

How much does a 360 virtual tour cost in India?

It depends on the brief. A photographed tour is quoted per viewpoint or per property, and a rendered tour per viewpoint on top of the 3D model. Tell us the kind of space, its size and whether it is built, and we send a quote.

How much does a Google 360 virtual tour cost?

The phrase usually means 360° photographs published on a business's Google Maps listing. The charge is set by whoever shoots and publishes them, per viewpoint or per property. A click-through tour embedded in your own website, which is what we make, is a separate product.

What is Matterport pricing in India?

Matterport is another company's product and publishes its own plans, so check its website for current pricing. If an operator quotes you a Matterport tour, ask for the scanning fee and the platform plan as separate lines.

Is a rendered tour more expensive than a photographed one?

Per viewpoint it is more work, because the room is built in 3D before it can be shown. If you already have renders of the same rooms, the model exists and the tour adds only the 360° viewpoints.

Is there a recurring charge for hosting a tour?

It depends on where the tour is hosted. Some platforms charge for as long as the tour is live. Ask for the hosting terms in the quotation, and what happens to the tour if the hosting ends.

How many viewpoints does a flat need?

At least one in every room, and more in large rooms and passages so that moving through the tour feels continuous. Mark them on the floor plan before you ask for a quote, so every supplier prices the same tour.

Do viewers need an app or a headset?

No. The tour opens in a web browser, from a link or from your website. On a phone, tilting the phone looks around.

Can you make a tour of a flat that is not built yet?

Yes. That is a rendered tour. We build the flat in 3D from the drawings and render a 360° image at each viewpoint. It is quoted per viewpoint, on top of the model.
