360° virtual tours photographed or fully rendered

Start a project

Click-through 360° tours of property, hotels and workplaces. Photographed in a finished space, or fully rendered for one that is not built yet.

Overview

A 360 virtual tour is a set of viewpoints joined together. At each one the viewer can look in every direction, and they click the floor to move to the next. It opens from a link on a phone or a computer.

We make two kinds. A photographed tour is shot with a 360° camera in a space that exists. A rendered tour is made in 3D for a flat, a villa or a hotel that is still on paper or under construction. Both work the same way for the viewer. This page helps you decide which one you need, and says when another format suits better.

What it covers

  • 01

    Photographed tours

Shot on site with an Insta360 camera in a finished flat, show flat, hotel, restaurant or office.

  • 02

    Rendered tours

Built in 3D from drawings, for a space that is not built yet. Every viewpoint is a 360° render.

  • 03

    Opens on a phone

On a phone, tilting the device looks around the room. Nothing is installed.

  • 04

    Embeds in your website

The tour sits inside a page on your site and can also be shared as a link.

What a 360 degree virtual tour is

Each viewpoint in a tour is one spherical image. It records everything visible from one spot in a room, in every direction, including up and down. A tour joins several viewpoints: the entrance, the living room, the kitchen, each bedroom, the balcony.

Some people call this a 3D virtual tour or a 360 walkthrough. It differs from a walkthrough film, where the route is fixed, and from an interactive walkthrough, where the viewer walks anywhere. In a tour the viewer chooses the order and stands only at the viewpoints provided.

On its own, the phrase virtual tour is also used for museums and tourist sites. Our work is tours of property and commercial interiors: flats, villas, hotels, restaurants, offices and showrooms.

Photographed or rendered: which one you need

The deciding point is whether the space exists and is ready to be seen.

A developer may use both over the life of a project: a rendered tour at launch, and a photographed tour of the show flat or the finished building later.

Tours, Matterport and other formats

Matterport is a well-known product for scanning a built space and turning it into a tour. Many people use its name for any scanned tour. It needs the space to exist, so it does not apply to an unbuilt project. If you have looked at it and want to compare, see our page on a Matterport alternative in India.

A tour has fixed viewpoints. If buyers need to walk freely or change finishes, an interactive walkthrough suits better. If you need a video for a launch, that is a walkthrough film. The 3D walkthrough page compares these formats.

What decides the price

A 360 virtual tour is quoted per viewpoint. Ask any virtual tour company to state the number of viewpoints in its quote. For a photographed tour, the quote also depends on where the property is, how many spaces are covered in a visit and whether the space is ready to shoot.

For a rendered tour, the larger part of the work is the 3D model of the space. If we have already modelled the project for still renders, the tour reuses that model and only the viewpoints are added. The 360° virtual tour cost guide explains what a quotation should list.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Brief

You tell us the property, whether it is built, and where the tour will be used.

  2. 02

    Viewpoints

We agree the list of viewpoints on a floor plan and send a quote with a schedule.

  3. 03

    Shoot or model

A finished space is photographed on site. An unbuilt one is modelled and rendered.

  4. 04

    Assembly

The viewpoints are joined into a tour, and you check the route on your phone.

  5. 05

    Delivery

You receive a link and the code to embed the tour in your website.

Questions

How much does a 360 virtual tour cost in India?

It is quoted per viewpoint. A photographed tour also depends on where the property is and how much is covered in a visit. A rendered tour depends on whether a 3D model already exists. Send the floor plan for a quotation.

Do viewers need an app or a headset?

No. The tour opens in a browser on a phone or a computer. On a phone, tilting the device looks around.

Can you make a virtual tour of a flat that is not built yet?

Yes. We build the flat in 3D from the drawings and render each viewpoint as a 360° image. The viewer uses it in the same way as a photographed tour.

Can the tour be embedded on our website?

Yes. It embeds in a page on your website and can also be shared as a link. If you need it on a property portal, check what that portal accepts, because each has its own rules.

What is the difference between a 360 tour and a 3D tour?

People use both names for the same click-through tour. Strictly, a 360 tour is a set of spherical images, photographed or rendered. An interactive 3D walkthrough is different: the viewer moves freely through a real-time model.

Do you photograph properties outside Mumbai?

The studio is in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. For a photographed tour elsewhere, tell us the location and we confirm in the quote whether we can cover it. A rendered tour needs no visit, so we make those for clients anywhere.

How long does a 360 virtual tour take to make?

It depends on the number of viewpoints and, for a rendered tour, on whether the 3D model exists. The schedule is written in the quote.
