An AI series for brands one story told in episodes for Reels and Shorts

Start a project

A story about your brand, told in short episodes with the same characters each time. Made with AI and directed frame by frame, for Reels and Shorts.

Service

An AI storyline series is a short fictional story made for a brand and released in episodes. The characters and the world stay the same from one episode to the next. The pictures are made with AI, and every frame is directed by our team.

Brands order a series when they want viewers to follow a story and come back for the next part. Our example is Flaky Affairs, a five-episode pastry romantic comedy for The Croffle Guys. An AI web series on a streaming platform is a different thing. A series for a brand is short, vertical and made for the brand's own social channels.

What you get

  • 01

    Recurring characters

The same faces, clothes and settings in every episode. Reference pictures of each character are approved before the first episode, and every later shot is checked against them.

  • 02

    A story with an arc

A beginning, a complication and an ending across the season, with each episode closing on a reason to watch the next.

  • 03

    The brand inside the story

The product, the shop or the pack appears as part of the plot. Where it must look exact, it is modelled in 3D.

  • 04

    Made for vertical video

Framed for a phone held upright and paced for Reels and Shorts.

  • 05

    Any genre

Romantic comedy, mystery, fantasy, period drama. With AI there are no sets, costumes or locations to pay for, so the genre is an open choice.

Work like this

Flaky Affairs is the series. The others are a three-film AI campaign and an AI-directed short story film.

What an AI storyline series is

It is fiction, told in parts. A season has a fixed number of episodes, each short enough to watch on a phone in one sitting, released on a schedule the brand chooses. Flaky Affairs, our series for The Croffle Guys, is a pastry romantic comedy in five episodes.

In the trade, a series of short vertical episodes that each end on an unanswered question is called a micro drama. When a brand commissions the story and appears in it, it is called a branded series. Ours are made with AI. The characters, the sets and the motion are generated, and a director controls each frame.

When a series is right, and when it is not

A series suits a brand that posts regularly, has something with character to build a story around, such as a food, a place or a mascot, and wants viewers to return. It suits products that are easy to like and hard to sum up in a feature list.

It is the wrong choice for a single offer with an end date, or for a product that needs a clear demonstration. An AI brand film or AI UGC video ads will do those jobs for less. A series is also planned and released as a whole season, so it is a larger commitment than one ad.

How the characters stay the same

This is the hard part of any AI series. AI does not remember a face from one shot to the next unless it is made to. Before production we fix each character in a character sheet, which is a set of reference pictures of that character from several angles and in their clothes. The same is done for the main settings. Every shot is generated against those references and checked by a person. A shot where a face or an outfit has changed is remade.

What we need from you

We can write the story or work from yours. Either way we need to know the brand before writing.

  • What the brand sells, and to whom
  • The product, shop or pack that should appear: photographs, a sample or CAD
  • The tone: funny, warm, dramatic or strange
  • Things the brand would never say or show
  • The number of episodes you have in mind, and where they will be posted
  • Series or films you like, for reference
  • A story idea or a script, if you have one

What decides the price

A series is quoted per season, built up from a rate per episode. Three things are set up once for the whole season: the story, the characters and the world. They make up much of the cost of the first episode, and every later episode reuses them.

After that the price moves with the number of episodes, their length, the number of characters and settings, and whether the product needs 3D work to stay accurate. Ask for the quote to state the number of episodes, the length of each and the rounds of script changes. The AI ad cost guide explains how AI film is quoted.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Brief

You tell us about the brand, the audience and the tone.

  2. 02

    Story and scripts

We write the season outline and a script for each episode, for your approval.

  3. 03

    Characters and world

Character sheets and still frames fix the cast, the settings and the look.

  4. 04

    Episodes

Each episode is generated shot by shot, directed, edited and sent to you for review.

  5. 05

    Delivery

Finished episodes are delivered in order, sized for Reels and Shorts.

Questions

How much does an AI series for a brand cost?

It is quoted per season. The cost depends on the number and length of episodes, the number of characters and settings, and any 3D product work. Send a short brief with the number of episodes for a quote.

How many episodes should a series have?

Enough to tell one complete story. Flaky Affairs, our series for The Croffle Guys, has five. We suggest a number once there is a story outline, and it is fixed in the quote.

Do the characters look the same in every episode?

Yes. Faces, clothes and settings are fixed in reference pictures before production, and each shot is checked against them. A shot where something has changed is remade.

Who writes the story?

We can write it from your brief, or produce a script you already have. Either way you approve the season outline and each episode's script before any pictures are made.

Can our product appear in the series?

Yes. It can be part of the plot or the setting. Where the pack or the logo must be exact, we model it in 3D and place it in the scene.

Is this the same as an AI web series?

The method is similar and the purpose is different. A web series is made for a streaming audience. An AI web series for brands is short, vertical, made for the brand's own Reels and Shorts, and has the brand inside the story.

Do we need to label the series as AI?

Realistic AI content should be labelled where the platform asks for it. Check the current rules of each platform you post on. We do not use a real person's likeness without permission.

How long does it take to make a series?

It depends on the number of episodes, their length and how quickly scripts and character designs are approved. The schedule is set out with the quote.
