3D and AR for furniture brands renders, 3D models and view in your room

Start a project

We model a piece once. That one model gives you catalogue renders, room-set images, a model that turns on your website and view in your room AR.

Who it is for

A furniture brand needs the same piece shown four ways: on a plain background, in a room, turning on the product page, and standing in the shopper's own home. We make all four from one 3D model of the piece.

This page is for furniture, lighting and decor brands, from a single workshop to a large catalogue. It follows a piece from the factory drawing to the product page and says what we make at each step. Augmented reality, or AR, means the shopper points a phone at the floor and sees the piece there at its true size. Ours needs no app. You can try it now on the live AR demo on our home page.

Where it helps

  • 01

    One accurate model

Each piece is modelled to its real dimensions from your drawings, CAD or photographs. Every later image and file comes from this model.

  • 02

    Catalogue renders

The piece on a plain background, from the angles your catalogue and marketplace listings use, in every finish and fabric you sell.

  • 03

    Room-set images

The piece shown in a furnished room that suits it. The piece itself stays accurate. The room around it is built in 3D or directed with AI.

  • 04

A model that turns on the website

A GLB file, the standard format for 3D on the web. The shopper drags to turn the piece and zooms in on the joinery.

  • 05

    View in your room

The shopper taps a button or scans a QR code and the piece appears on their floor at true scale. It works on iPhone and Android with no app.

From one model to four uses

The model takes the most work, and it is made once. Each use after that is a smaller job, and you can add them one at a time.

The model comes first

Furniture 3D modeling services start from whatever describes the piece accurately. Factory drawings or CAD are the most reliable. Where they do not exist, we work from the overall dimensions and photographs from every side, with close photographs of the fabric, the wood grain and the hardware.

For the web and for AR, the model has to be light enough to load on a phone. We make an optimised version using Draco compression, a method that shrinks the file, and keep the detailed version for renders. The sofa in the catalogue and the sofa in the shopper's room are the same shape and size.

Catalogue renders and room sets

With a furniture catalogue in 3D, a new finish or fabric is a change to the model, with no new shoot. 3D furniture rendering services are most useful where a range has many variants, or where pieces are made to order and there is no sample to photograph.

A room-set image shows the piece in use. We build the room in 3D or direct it with AI around the accurate model of the piece. For DONNY MAMUT we staged a pair of designer tables inside a Parisian-classical apartment.

View in your room, with no app

Shoppers use augmented reality in the furniture industry to check two things before buying online: whether the piece fits the space, and how it looks beside what they already own.

On the product page, a button opens the phone's camera. An iPhone uses Quick Look with a USDZ file. An Android phone uses Scene Viewer with a GLB file. The piece appears on the floor at true scale and the shopper walks around it. In a showroom or a printed catalogue, a QR code does the same thing.

What decides the cost

Modelling is quoted per model, and the price depends on the piece. A plain dining table is quick to model. A tufted sofa or a carved headboard takes longer. A range of similar pieces costs less per model than single pieces, because parts and materials are shared.

Renders are quoted per image, and a room set costs more than a plain background because the room has to be made. AR is quoted per model. You can start with a few pieces to check the result before ordering the whole range.

Questions

How much does 3D and AR for a furniture brand cost?

Modelling is quoted per model and renders per image. The price depends on how detailed the pieces are, how many there are and how many finishes each comes in. Send the catalogue or a list of pieces for a quote.

Do shoppers need to download an app to view furniture in their room?

No. The piece opens in the phone's built-in viewer, Quick Look on iPhone and Scene Viewer on Android, from a button on the product page or from a QR code.

Is the furniture shown at its true size in AR?

Yes. The model is built to the real dimensions of the piece and placed at true scale, so a shopper can check whether a sofa fits a wall or a table fits a corner.

Can you show one piece in all its fabrics and finishes?

Yes. Each finish is a material applied to the same model. Send the swatches or their codes. Catalogue renders are then made for every variant without a sample of each.

Can AI make the room-set images?

It can make the room. The piece itself is modelled in 3D first, so its shape and proportions stay accurate, and the AI-directed room is made around it.

Does AR work for mirrors, wall art, rugs and lamps?

Yes. A wall piece such as a mirror or framed art is placed on a wall. Everything else, such as a rug, a floor lamp or a planter, is placed on the floor.
