Virtual site visit for buyers who cannot come to the site

Start a project

A buyer in another city or country opens a link and sees the project: the building, the amenities and the flat. They do not travel and they do not install an app.

Service

A virtual site visit lets a buyer see your project without travelling to it. We make the material your sales team sends or presents: a film, a 360° tour or an interactive walkthrough of the building, the amenities and the flat.

It is for developers who sell to buyers outside the city: NRIs, people relocating for work, investors, and families in which the person deciding lives elsewhere. These buyers mostly see the project on a phone, from a link sent on WhatsApp or by email, sometimes with a salesperson on a video call. What you send has to open on that phone without an app. This page explains which formats do that, and what each one needs from the buyer's phone and connection.

What you get

  • 01

    Opens from a link

Films and 360° tours open on the phone, in the browser or in the messaging app. The buyer installs nothing.

  • 02

    The project and the flat

The visit covers the approach, the building, the amenities and the inside of the flat, in the order of a real site visit.

  • 03

    Built or unbuilt

A finished space can be photographed in 360°. A project under construction is rendered in 3D from the drawings.

  • 04

    Guided or self-guided

A salesperson can share the screen on a video call and take the buyer through it, or the buyer can go through it alone.

  • 05

    On your website

A 360° tour embeds in the project website, and a film can be placed on any page.

  • 06

    One model, several formats

The 3D model made for the renders is reused for the film, the tour and the walkthrough.

Which formats work on a phone, over a link

For a remote buyer, a film and a 360° tour usually cover the visit. The film gives the overall picture, and the tour lets them look around each room for as long as they want. A streamed walkthrough suits a buyer who is close to a decision and wants to go further. The table sets out what each format needs.

FormatOn a phone, from a linkWhat the buyer can do
Walkthrough filmYes. It plays in WhatsApp, on a website or in any video playerWatch a planned route, pause and replay
360° tour, photographed or renderedYes. It opens in the browser, and tilting the phone looks aroundLook in every direction and click the floor to move
Interactive walkthrough, streamedYes, in the phone's browser, with a steady and fast connection. A tablet or a laptop is more comfortableWalk freely and change furniture, finishes and lighting
VR walkthroughNo. It needs a headsetStand in the rooms at real size

Finished projects and projects under construction

If the project or the show flat is finished, it can be photographed with a 360° camera, and the buyer sees the real space. For remote property viewing, this is the closest thing to being there. See 360° tours for real estate.

If the project is under construction, there is nothing to photograph, so the visit is made from the 3D model: renders, a film and a rendered 360° tour. A buyer abroad will also want to see the real location and the construction progress. Your team can send site photographs alongside. We do not offer photography or video shoots, other than 360° capture.

What an NRI buyer needs to see

A buyer who cannot visit needs the material to answer what a site visit would answer. They cannot check an image against the site, so everything shown is modelled from your drawings and your specification. We plan a property tour for NRI buyers around this list:

  • The location, and what surrounds the project
  • The building from the road and from the air
  • The amenities: lobby, clubhouse, pool and garden
  • The flat, room by room, with true room sizes
  • The view from the windows and the balcony
  • The finishes and fittings that come with the flat

How a guided online site visit runs

A salesperson can lead the visit. They start a video call, share the screen and take the buyer through the film and then the tour, stopping where the buyer has questions. The buyer gets the link afterwards and can go through it again with their family.

For this to work, the material has to follow the order of a real visit: location, approach, amenities, flat, view. Tell us how your team sells, and we plan the film and the tour viewpoints in that order.

What decides the price

A virtual site visit is a set of formats, and each has its own unit. The film is priced on its length, the 360° tour on the number of viewpoints, and the interactive walkthrough as one project. The total depends on which formats you choose, how much of the project they cover, and whether a 3D model already exists from earlier renders.

A streamed walkthrough also has a running cost for hosting, which depends on how many buyers use it at the same time. A film has no running cost once it is made. Our guide to 360° virtual tour cost explains the per-viewpoint unit.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Who the buyers are

You tell us where the buyers are and how your team presents to them.

  2. 02

    Choose the formats

We agree the film, the tour viewpoints and any walkthrough, in the order of a visit.

  3. 03

    Build or capture

Unbuilt spaces are modelled and rendered. Finished spaces can be photographed in 360°.

  4. 04

    Review on a phone

You check everything on a phone and on a video call, as a buyer would see it.

  5. 05

    Links and files

You receive the film files and the tour links, to send or to embed.

Questions

How much does a virtual site visit cost?

It depends on the formats you choose. Each one is quoted in its own unit: length for a film, viewpoints for a 360° tour, and the whole project for an interactive walkthrough. Tell us what the buyer needs to see and we quote each part.

What is a virtual site visit?

It is a way for a buyer to see a property without going there, using a film, a 360° tour or an interactive walkthrough opened from a link or shown on a video call.

Does the buyer need to download an app?

No. Films and 360° tours open in the phone's browser or in the messaging app. A streamed interactive walkthrough also opens in a browser.

Will it work for a buyer abroad on a mobile connection?

A film and a 360° tour work on an ordinary mobile connection. A streamed interactive walkthrough is live video, so it needs a steady and faster connection.

Can you make a virtual site tour of a project that is still under construction?

Yes. The flat, the building and the amenities are rendered in 3D from your drawings. Nothing needs to be built first.

Can our sales team guide the buyer during an online site visit?

Yes. The salesperson shares the screen on a video call and moves through the film or the tour with the buyer. The buyer can open the same link later.

Can the tour be added to our project website?

Yes. A 360° tour embeds in a web page, and a film can be placed on any page. There are live tours on our home page.
